GOLD sponor is Kiwanis Fun Day Bike Ride Take advantage of our ride to explore Jefferson, Franklin, Hamliton, and Wayne Counties in southern Illinois and more! It's Kiwanis's Fun Day Bicycle Ride Again! The 2009 Fun Day Ride will be our tenth year. Come join us for our celebration. You will be traveling through beautiful Rend Lake again. Come watch the deer and wild turkey play as you ride through the country side. We are planning more food (if that is possible). KFDBR will be held August 22, 2009 starting at the Anheuser Busch Warehouse in Mount Vernon. There will be the same friendly volunteers and familiar route. In 2009 the sag or rest stop will be plentiful as in the past. Also, each sag stop will have a surprise of a special treat for each rider. So plan a leisurely ride stopping at all the sag stops. So mark you calendar for Saturday August 22, 2009 at 7am and we will see you there. No wind (Illinois Hills)! Or maybe some WIND!
