What happens to the proceeds from this fun raiser? Our Division which consist of ten Clubs uses the proceeds to provide service for the physically and mentally challenged of the are which includes a summer day of fun at Rend Lake and a Christmas Party with food and fun which are held annually.
Kiwanis, also, targets children in their service effort. Young Children: Priority One is a world wide service project of Kiwanis International. It serves the needs of kids from before birth to the age of five years. The Spastic Paralysis Research Foundation was started by Kiwanis several years ago and continues to help young kids with spinal birth defects. Other needs are provided by the individual Kiwanis Clubs in their respective towns and areas. Among them are Special Olympics, nursing home visitations, safety and health issues for young children, youth sports leagues, school projects, and the list goes on and on.
So by having a fun day of bicycling through the country side you will be enabling Kiwanis Clubs of Division 33 to help people in need.
